The next in the series: "What game was that?"
Once, a long time ago, there was a game (most likely in Integer) that
presented a playfield littered with blocks. Robots, I think they were
actually asterisks, would come after you - always trying to shorten the
distance between themselves and you. You were of course represented by
another ASCII character of some sort. The blocks would impede the
robots' progress. You could push the blocks around to eventually cage
them in.
I believe the version I saw was typed in from a magazine, probably from
1979-1980 vintage or so (given the fact that it was in Integer BASIC).
Does it ring any bells with anyone else? Googling brings up lots of
hits like CRobots and Daleks, but it really isn't anything close to
being that sophisticated.
