Looking at the raw messages, you never had HTML enabled.  (Leaving HTML
disabled is a Good Thing.) What you had enabled was OpenPGP MIME signing in
Thunderbird.  trn (what I use) apparently doesn't know how to pass the two
parts off to gpg to verify them, so the signature shows up here as an
attachment.  The message body is visible without my having to do anything
special, though, and that's what matters.  A newsreader that can't even do
that should be considered broken.
