: I'm certain this has been covered somewhere, but I haven't located it yet.
:
: I finally got an Apple IIGS (ROM 01) but I have not disks. I do happen to
: have access to an older Macintosh running MacOS 9.2.2 (has DiskCopy 6.3.3
: IIRC).
:
: I grabbed the System 6.0.1 floppies and Apple II System Disk 3.2 from the
: Apple site
:
: nglish-North_American/Apple_II/) and wrote the images with DiskCopy.
:
: But they didn't work - I get the "unable to load prodos" message when I
try
: it on the real deal.
:
: From what I remember, this means the first block is loading but the PRODOS
: file cannot be found. I opened the disks on the Macintosh, and PRODOS is
: indeed on the floppy.
:
: Any ideas would be appreciated!
:
: thanks!

Rob,
Email me with a valid return address and I'll help you get what you need.
I can send you a starter package for the IIgs that will get you all you
need to transfer disks to it. You do need a hard drive to make the IIgs
a pleasant experience though. Ask me about those. :o)
