Depends on the System you're running. I've found that the ideal "Apple
II peripheral Mac" is a later 68K model. I have an LC475 running System
7.5.5. I have the Mac online at 56K (though I think it could do high
speed if it was available) so I can get files via HTTP, FTP and email.
With Localtalk Bridge installed I can use AppleTalk on both serial and
ethernet to share files with both newer Macs and older Macs and my IIgs,
plus I can use DiskDup+ to write floppies for the IIgs. On the IIgs I
use UNFORKIT to deal with any resource fork problems that creep in. Hope
that helps.
