It depends upon how you use Apple II and Macintosh computers.

If you are looking for an all-in-one deal where you can run Apple II
and Macintosh software, then this probably isn't the way to go.  The
IIe LC card requires 24-bit mode addressing, which means your
Macintosh is limited to 8 MB of RAM.  If you're hoping to use it as a
bridge between an ethernet network and your Apple II, you will also
face great difficulties since the IIe LC card uses the only expansion
slot and it does not cooperate with commslot ethernet cards.  That
will severely interfere with your internet connectivity options.

That means a IIe LC card does not offer much beyond an Apple IIc+. 
Yet it does offer a few very important things in my opinion: the
ability to access a hard drive partition (directly) and CD-ROM
(indirectly), as well as the ability to use VGA monitors (eg. to share
it with another machine) top my list.

If I had the space, I would rather use a true IIe.  But I don't, so
the IIe LC card is a good second.
