Well, to confirm the ZIPGSX card works perfectly fine in either ROM 01
I have.  Can't get it to crash on these, and always boots just fine,
runs nice and fast..  Much faster without the card.

My (2) ROM 3s work fine unaccelerated, until I put the ZIP GS in either
of them.  Then weird stuff happens. Most of the time they never boot,
and I get a blank screen or I get the low-res jumble of colored pixels
mentioned above.  Sometimes it boots fine into GS OS but crashes into
machine language after I try real simple stuff (like closing windows).
 I've tried everything, even swapping power supplies (I need to find a
Buggie Power supply, though...), and I've taken out all cards, and
can't for the life of me figure out why it works on a ROM 01, but not
on a ROM 3.

Here's the potential catch, I suspect: The ZIP GSX was an Ebay
purchase, and looks like it has been upgraded to 14MHz, and also has
the 2 "skinny" 4 32k x 8 SRAM chips.  I'm wondering if the upgrade is
the factor here.  Looks like a great job of soldering, and like I said,
works just like a charm on the ROM 01....

Any tips on how to address?   
This happen to anyone else?
