I have been looking for something just like you describe, I believe.
Something that can be plugged into the drive cable on my TI, that will
appear to the disk controller to be a standard disk drive (but much
faster). The TI was designed to be flexible, when it comes to adding
devices. But certain programs and OSes (P-System for one) are not so
flexible. The UCSD P-System just looks at the disk controller. I have a
program to add a Ramdisk, but haven't been able to get it to work with
my hardware - plus it uses memory spaces I'd rather not give up.

Do you have any links to this "SVD" thing?
