You are right in assuming that this might not be the correct
newsgroup. This one is dedicated to the Apple II line of
computers. What you need to do is go back to the way you
found this group and search for ones with "Mac" in them.
For example, " comp.sys.mac ". Although you may be able to
get an answer here, those groups will probably give you
more definitive answers to your questions.  Good Luck. :o)
