Hello,
I was recently given a 4GB hard drive and was curious to see if it would
work on my IIgs. I was hoping to use it in place of my Orb drive since
I have to get it back from my dad everytime he wants to use it.
When I tried this I could not get the drive to work... the computer
could see the drive in GS OS's scsi utility but attempting to format or
partition it resulted in errors. So I put the SCSI chain the way I had it.
Then I tried putting the ORB back on, but the computer would not boot to
SCSI with the ORB on the chain so I probably didn't have it set up
properly for that.... so I just removed it and turned the computer back
on.
Now the mouse doesn't show up when I boot up to my 350MB SCSI drive...
it does show if I boot up to my GS OS install disk, but it can't move.
I'm able to do things with the keyboard. I've tried removing the
keyboard and connecting the mouse directly to the computer but that
doesn't fix anything. However, I booted up to my Bouncin' Ferno game
disk and the mouse worked fine on there.
Has anyone ever seen this happen before?
