The one I got looked totally different, that is, it was a different sort of
wire, a different colored plastic plug thing and the pins looked brighter
(gold plate I think), oh and it was a few millimeters longer ribbon too. I
have since had it on 2 different GSs and it worked on both.  Now, I bought
mine some 1/2 decade ago or so... I can vouch for at least  that long a
service (fired up at least 4 times a week for 1-4 hours).
I should have also procured a 32k card but, alas, economic determinism and
all that..
