Re: OT: Where to find Macintosh groups??

Man, didn't know that I provided so much anger and flaming for asking a simple question...lol

I didn't read all of the replies so for those that supported me, thanks.

If you look at my original post, I acknowledged that it was "OT" or, "Off Topic". So, for those that complain about OT posts, you had warning before you opened it.

And the reason I asked in the Apple II group is because the ISP I use at work didn't seem to have many Mac groups that I could find...so, I found the next best place to ask. Where should have I gone? To the Spectrum group?? Fortunately, I found out it was my stupid newsreader...it wasn't listing any mac groups (not my computer). I have found some, and now I am happy.

Now if I had asked how to format a harddrive on a new iMac, then I could understand the OT anger. I asked once, I asked the best place I knew, and I didn't cross post. So, for those that trashed me, fuck yerselves.

lol

PS, this is the end of this for me...however, I DO OWN TWO Apple IIe's so I will have questions about them in the future.

: Geeze, Bill...

That wasn't my point. Read how he spoke to the person,
like that person alone has posted numerous times about
Macs and where to get info. They posted once, and Don
gave the impression that the person keeps badgering us with
their nonsense. Plus his responses were rude beyond belief.
All I suggested was that Don doesn't need to be so crass.
A simple please look for Mac groups would have sufficed.

: Which of those were you?

I simply ask that they look for Mac groups when I do respond,
and since so many others do, I didn't feel it necessary to respond
at all, but maybe I should so they don't have to read such childish
inuendos about their stupidity.
