Are you by any chance a diabetic, Bill? If so, I'd say it's time to 
check your sugar. Your post sounds EXACTLY like a former roomie of mine 
when he wasn't paying proper attention to his diet/meds, and his sugar 
started getting high.

Yeah, he too hated me saying so at first, but after realizing that each 
and every time he heard "Check your sugar, Rob" out of me, he'd test and 
find out he was dangerously high, he eventually came to be thankful, 
since each time, it saved him yet another trip to the emergency room to 
deal with sugar so high he couldn't bring it back down without medical 
help.

As far as my "methods" of education... <shrug> Maybe they sting a 
little. That's all to the good, I'd say... Without a bit of "sting" to 
make it memorable, lessons are all too easily forgotten. I know I for 
one remember one helluva lot better for next time when the "learning" 
involves a modicum of "pain" than when the answer is handed to me on a 
platter...
