Re: Transwarp GS ribbon cable. Improvements?

I had a brief discussion with Glenn Jones about this. He had come across an
advertisement in an electronics magazine (I believe) that gave a great deal
on making small PCBs in a perforated sheet of such PCBs. You would snap off
the small PCBs as needed.

He thought it would be cool to design a PCB the size of the IIgs CPU socket
and that included pins that fit into the socket. On the back of the PCB
would be a standard 40pin IDE style header. The traces between the IDE
header and the opposite side pins would do the pair-wise crossover that is
required by the TWGS.

With such a PCB, you could plug it into the IIgs CPU, and just use a
standard IDE ribbon cable to hook the TWGS onto the IDE header on the back
of the PCB.

I thought it was a cool idea, but we didn't know if there would be much
demand for such a thing. It would be fairly cheap, for sure. Exactly how
cheap would depend on the demand.
