I made my own Mini-Din8 to DB-9 cable by cutting the Apple Printer
cable in half, finding a PC modem cable, cutting the DB-25 end off, and
splicing the two together.

Of course, you'll need an ohm meter to figure out which color wire goes
to each pin in the plugs.
