You cannot use the IIe card and Commslot ethernet at the same time. They conflict. I already tried it in my Mystic. The ethernet stopped working. It may depend on which Ethernet NIC you use. I've been in contact with people using Sonnet CS cards that claim they've gotten both to work at the same time.
It's a 32-bit addressing issue. The IIe card will not work in 32-bit addressing. I don't know if the CS card is incompatible with that now; I've sold my Mystic - but I'd also read that it was a problem with registers. Certainly the Apple hardware will not co-exist on a 575/580 board, and that's the only CS and LC slot machine you'll find other than the Performa PPC crap like the 5200. IIe card in a CC? Fine, but you don't get ethernet. Perhaps the Sonnet is less touchy, but from what I read about addressing, it sounds highly unlikely that the two devices would function at the same time.
Note that dropping to 24-bit addressing did allow the IIe card to work, but switching back to 32-bit didn't make the CS card work.
