The Source was the first of the online commerical networks, and that
started in 1978. At the height of its success, it was accessible by 
dial-up in 38 different countries.

It's hard to believe, but it's been 15 years since CompuServe bought The 
Source and put it out of business. 

In any case, The Source ran on Prime Computers.
