ApplesBC 25th Anniversary

Our meeting went well though not as well as I would have liked. The
van that was to haul my gear was late so instead of a leisurely setup
it was pretty hectic. Still, I was able to unwind playing a game of
galaxian projected on a 12 foot screen. I want one for my place.

Unfortunately Gary Little was still in California trying to get his
house sold. Still he emailed a 6 page note. Hopefully he'll be up
here for the January meeting. A lot of members from the early days
mentioned him quite a few times. Apparently he learned about modems
writing the software for our first BBS.

The owner of the Byte Shop which sold the first Apple II here (#88)
and was the one that suggested forming a user group. He let us use
his store for meetings the first year until we outgrew it. He bought
a ticket for our draw and was stunned when he won a G5. All he did was
whisper over and over "I won"

Apple II #92 was there and I took a few pics but I later realized I
missed two. A closeup of the serial number and a shot that showed all
of the rear. Still you can find the shots I took at > http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/18/wo/6NNzfMdSMScOQ3Eh.1/0.2.1.2.22.31.97.0.35.0.1.1.1?user=wayne_stewart&fpath=apple_ii_92&templatefn=FileSharing1.html

One guy brought his M0100 mouse signed by Woz and Andy Hertzfield > http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/18/wo/6NNzfMdSMScOQ3Eh.1/0.2.1.2.22.31.97.3.35.0.1.1.1?user=wayne_stewart&fpath=other_pics&templatefn=FileSharing1.html

I didn't scale down the pics so they're pretty huge. A fast connection
or a lot of patience would be an asset.
