Yes, the apple talk control panel crashes when used with the hardware bridge, but
works with the LocalTalk bridge software. While using the Localtalkbridge software,
set the GS to open the Mac volumes on boot. Then when you later boot with the hardware
bridge on (and the software bridge removed) your gs will find the Mac volumes without
using the GS appleTalk control panel.

Thats what I've been doing, anyway.
