Interesting question. I think the card's incompatibility with the IIe. I tried one strapless 16k card and my IIe failed the RAM test so I dug out three more and the IIe fails the RAM test with any of them. Without those cards it passes. I placed the cards in slot 0 in a II+ and they passed the RAM test I tried. Wayne
