Try switching slot 1 to printer, restart and then see if the modem port now works for Appletalk. I don't know but I'm guessing that if both slots 1 & 2 are set to "your card" then appletalk uses the lower slot. It'd be nice to know. I've only done appletalk on a ROM 3 IIgs which is slightly different. Wayne
