Unfortunately yes :-( And a complete A2 is a "little" too large/heavy
to ask somebody to bring it over in his luggage...

Yes, that's the other issue. And as far as I know the A2 video out
timing isn't simply taken from the AC frequency, so even when
connected to the 50 Hz AC over here it would still produce 60 Hz video
but the monitors used here need 50 Hz.
