I won't expand on Michael's excellent reply on what an enhanced //e is
except to add that when you boot, the original machine will display "][e" on
the screen, whereas the enhanced machine will identify itself with "//e".
Thats the easiest, "no programming required" method for identification.
As to how much RAM you have - you have at least 64K on the motherboard. You
probably have an additional 64K on the 80 column card also but that's not
guaranteed - there are at least six 80 column cards that I know Apple
produced, not to mention the dozens (if not hundreds!) of aftermarket
brands -- but based on your description of your card being longer than the
old one, it sounds like the first generation Extended 80 column with
additional 64K to me.

I think the //e will always be my favorite Apple II - even though I spend a
lot of time on the GS, the //e feels like it has more character to me.
