Re: Cooling, TWGS and Buggie PSUs...

The IIgs is suffering some crashes with the TW - I might not have cleaned

with heat.

As far as I can tell, most of the heat is coming from the PSU, of course -
and I get a lot of bus noise anyway through the audio animator.

Would using a Buggie cable to a PC PSU (external, of course) reduce the heat
in the IIgs sufficiently to sort this out, or do I need to get a cooling fan
as well? Things like the system saver are exceptionally rare in the UK
(240v, of course).

A Buggie power supply would definitely let the IIgs run cooler. Whether
that's enough in your case is hard to say. A simple test would be to
move the IIgs power supply outside the case and run the power connector
in through the resulting hole in the back. Since the IIgs has a 12 volt
connector for a fan, you could mount a fan in that hole for even more
cooling.
