I'm not sure if it ever had an official name but people took to
calling this piece of hardware the "AnyCard".  It was supposed to have
lots of functions like USB and VGA and others (I tried looking up the
information again but either Sheppy's servers are down or my DNS
servers have the wrong IP for his domain names at present).

Last I heard there were some hardware issues and one of the people
involved in working on it (Hans Franke I believe) started redesigning
the hardware a while back.  I think this information came from a
progress report that was given at KFest this year but this is complete
hearsay so it might not be accurate.
