maybe not a metal bottom plate...what about say a clear lucite
...plastic..the thicker kind like the same width of the orig //e or plus for
example only clear...

you could still use the old hacksaw and template on your old //e bottom
plate..but instead of having to stamp a metal backplate with //gs ports etc
you could do the same with a clear plastic setup with brackets...that i
would think could be more proffesionally done...perhaps even an entire clear
//e to //gs upgrade bottom plate made completely out of plastic (molded?) or
cutout already? ...clear lucite...type pexiglass? etc etc

heck make a whole case clear like they do for modding pc cases these
days...add a little neon..tubing lighting...jeez...we could start a t.v.
show called "pimp your apple ]["

boy..i re-read the above i really need to get a life

well..anyway...even just a simple //gs backplate that you could mod on the
remainder of your current //e bottom plate ..after taking off the orig //e
ports in back..with the old hacksaw...would be a nice little thing to have
...toss the template for mounting holes on to the old //e bottomplate
.....smooth out the cut metal edges..mount the //e to //gs upgrade plastic
(maybe clear) heavy lucite backplate on....viola....or the whole bottomplate
made out of clear plastic..would be even better...

anyway.....re-reading the above there would prob be a better market for a
//e case that was made out of completely clear plastic...with the //gs
upgrade ports in the back setup (or sides?)...for some reason people still
buy clear phones.....

i'd prob pay something for a clear case like that ...again because
re-reading the above i obviously don't have a life

gonna have to watch what kinda topics i trip over on this group...

anyway..again my 2c worth....from other posts metal may be more hassle and
cost then it could be done for....
