But as Sean states, the Anycard had some technical difficulties with certain parts of it. They were able to make the USB work but the VGA would not. So Hans is opting to redesign the it and has most of the design worked out.
He wants to make it as broadly appealing as he can for the best price he can, ie more features, less price.
The presentation and discussion were technical and he was fishing for interest and ideas about what is most desirable and explained how he could accomplish this all on one card. Or optionally two, depending on the features most wanted.
Also on a side note, it was overheard in the main dorm commons that "What happens at K-fest stays at K-fest." :)
Come to Kfest. I also think the new web site describes what happens at the annual meeting. We all stay in the dorms, talk about stuff, play with stuff, and learn stuff. In a nutshell, we 'hang out' in person instead of online. There is lots of time to talk to people about darn near everything worth discussing and chances are someone there will want to discuss that with you.
I did notice conspicuous absence of clicks this year, things were much less formal this year and only a few groups of limited discussion.
It's fun, come and see. Thankx, Ed Adam Barr wrote:
Kfest has come and gone and once again there has been almost no news about the AnyCard. There was a brief mention that it is almost done. Can some give some more information on it and what was seen at Kfest? Also as a side note, there never seems to be much info on what goes on at Kfest. New people might be more willing to go if we actually knew what happened at past ones so we could get excited and want to come to one.
