Re: B-Sider manual.

yep got the tapes ....i even have a couple of tape units..scsi type...that
are not b-siders from the day
look identical inside..i suspect if i hitched them up to a xebec sider chain
they would come up as b-siders
if not they would work with the ramfast as a tape unit..the tapes if i
remeber are cassette st600a verbatum or
some such i think they were 60mb?

now the real fun would be to get all this up and working with the old ohio
kache card....(pre-ramfast)
thats a cool multitasking kinda ramfast card in the day for a sider hd and
kaching floppies etc..in fact i
think the ramfast was developed off this card by same company..of ramfast

anyone have one of those?????? I have an ohio kache card manual..and the
card but have ve never been brave enough yet to play with
it...figured i'd really be bummed if it did not work..

.i should pop that baby up on my old xebec sider and on the
b-sider on my old black bell and howell unit with my apple // 8" drive card
(lobo?) and dual lobo 8" disk
drives...stick my cool time led/fan clock on the beast and put it up on
ebay....don't see many of those

anyway seems i'm really good at finding the stuff and not so good at
actually mucking around with the
stuff...limited room....to set it up..and limited buddies to have beers and
hack it all together...not so much
fun to get the stuff working after a decade or two...with no
applause...(that was the real motivation for
computer clubs..bragging rights)

Well, if you do hook the Sider up to a ramfast or OKC, make sure the
card isn't supplying Term Power. The results cause you to drink a lot
of beer trying to forget that mistake.
