I don't think so. It appears to connect with Telnet directly, but the
connections are dead, so I think that it just claims to be connecting to an
IP address.
This is very frustrating indeed. There is no logical reason why it won't
work - I have ethernet router, config as per the website you showed (which
certainly appears to be doing exactly what I am trying to do here!).
