GWPing is the ping utility written by Geoff Weiss. When he initially
wrote his Marinetti utilities, things under Marinetti weren't real
stable so he did a restricted distribution release so they were
initially only available for download from the Delphi Apple II forum's
file area. Geoff recently updated ping to v1.1 and I know it is
available from the members only area of the Syndicomm FTP server in
this directory:
/pub/members-only/a2/utilities/16-bit/shell_utilities/ping11.bxy
but you need to be a member of Syndicomm to access that.
Geoff used to make ping available on disk from Shareware Solutions II
and Juiced.GS. Syndicomm is now the publisher of Juiced.GS but I'm
not sure if any of the individual collections of floppies are
available on Syndicomm's online store but the CD-ROMs "Friends For
Life" and "Friends For Life II" are and they should have the older
version of ping on them.
Shareware Solutions II is probably still selling the floppies with the
older ping on them as well. I'm not sure if Joe has gotten permission
to make ping v1.1 available that way or not. Look for internet
related disks at his web site at:

If all else fails, you could always do a search for Geoff Weiss to
find a way to e-mail him and ask him for it directly.
