You can take a real Apple II (or III) disk and
create a computer file that contains all the
information on that disk. Then you can
email or upload or download or otherwise
transfer the file to someone else and they
can create a copy of the disk.
Two common programs used to create disk
images are ShrinkIt and ADT, although the
way they do it are completely different.
