Last year had the best numbers in quite a while, but then getting the Woz
here to Keynote isn't going to happen every year. B-{)

Then, we had 60 folks from ages 14-92.

This year, it's nearly 40, although some have had to miss portions of the
event for whatever reasons. Still, most of these folks are the cream of
the Apple II crop and hanging with one of them is easily nicer than
hanging with a dozen mall rats. B-{)

This IS an event for serious geeks though. Half the folks here are
running around with laptops connected to a multitude of wireless access
points running their emulators and text chatting with folks staying just
down the hall, or sitting beside them in the lounge. B-{)

And the sessions are great as well! Yesterday, Greg Nelson gave in
informative one on video animation on the IIGS, Geoff Weiss gave us a
detailed look at the LANceGS ethernet card, then demonstrated his new
addition to the KEGS emulator that emulates the LANce in KEGS. One way to
finally get a wireless GS.

Howard Katz has done several sessions, from ISP's that still allow Apple
II users shell access, and Unix sessions, and Tony fieldstripped an
Appledisk 3.5 to refurbish it in less than 1/2 hour.

Then there's the fun stuff. Pizza, Krispy Kreme donuts, GShisen
contests...

We'd like to see more new faces just so we can selfishily keep the fun
going. B-{)
