Re: Moving files from G5 Mac to a IIgs (and Mac Plus) ... ?

I currently have a dual G4 800 Power Mac with a "Stealth Serial Port"
- a "real" serial port that can do LocalTalk (AppleTalk) under OS 9,
which boots native on this machine. I also have an Apple IIgs and a
Mac Plus that has a SCSI<->Ethernet adapter.

I have been able to tie the IIgs to the G4 (booted under OS 9) and
move files using LocalTalk. I have been able to use AppleTalk over
Ethernet to move files from the G4 (booted under OS 9) to the Mac
Plus. I am about to be rid of this G4 has I have a dual 2.5GHz G5 on
order. It cannot boot OS 9 natively. OS X will not do LocalTalk and
I do not beleive I can have any meaningful AppleTalk over Ethernet
communication between the G5 and the Mac Plus.

How should I move files to these machines when the G5 arrives?
(I also need to figure out how to get files to my Amiga 2000 -
currently using the G4's built-in Zip drive to get that done, having a
SCSI Zip drive on the Amiga.)

I've never used a SCSI<->Ethernet adapter so I don't know how well that
works. Using my Color Classic running 7.5.5 with an ethernet card as a
server, my G4 with OS 10.3 can access the HFS partition. Unfortunately
I can't seem to share the ProDOS partitions. Once on the Color Classics
hard drive you can easily copy the files to a ProDOS floppy, hard drive
or Zip drive.

I guess that since my CC was connected to my router and therefore my
ADSL, I could save a step if I wanted and use the CC to download
directly to a ProDOS disk or drive.
