IIgs batteries

I was just wondering the lifetime on the batteries in IIgs's. I've got
a ROM 03 with a battery that is still good after all these years. I
have a ROM 01 that is NOT good.
#1. Is there a way to tell when your motherboard was manufactured?
#2. Is there a way to find out the age of any components?
