It's not the answer about your question but just idea
1. The best way is front door method to unprotect programs
2. It's possible to have two ROM one on the other with a switch, finality is
to keep reset active on the second ROM
because many program verify the ROM and change vectors.
3. An other way is to put a button on NMI pin so you stop the program and
... you're is the case as front door you must have a good understanding of
assembler.
