genx (or something like that) basically just extracts the built-into
Adv.Disk.Util Mac driver for Apple drives. It puts it into a place
where the program will find it and use it if you tell it to. This did
work fine for me in getting SyQuest carts to be recognized on my my GS
and my Mac if I remember correctly.
