Re: LC IIe card reading files as forked

Hi John,

I'm about to try the "put three AA batteries in a holder and wire it up
to the plug from the original cubic battery" trick I've seen around the
traps - much cheaper than the cubic batteries and people have reported
success with it.

Thanks (and to the others who have suggested it) - I'd forgotten about
that, will grab my copy from around my hoarded archives somewhere, and
the 'net is always good if I happen to have Trashed it.

Which I already do have in my hoarded treasure trove, so onto a CD it
goes. Tried to get the SCSI Ethernet adaptor going tonight - I think its
driver ate up so much memory there wasn't enough left for Netscape to
run, so I don't know if it's actually working. And I don't think I have
the right cable for the PPP to my OS X box's serial adaptor, so maybe I
should use the PDS ethernet card I have, although the less swapping of
cards I do the better.

Thanks again for the tips, will be reporting back with the results.

Kind regards

Sean
