: I have a lot of them. I believe that that motherboard
: came out before the Platinum case. Also I think a few
: of the schools here bought a lot of them at that time
: because I ended up with a truckload of school machines
: and about half of them had the single ROM motherboards
: and all of them were beige. Anyways I wouldn't suggest
: using the case as a guide to the motherboard, especially
: in a school setting where the tech guy would have mixed
: and matched any part that would work to get a IIe running.

That's why I said to tell me the motherboard date along
with which chips are actually on the board. That way I can
more readily determine what they will need. It's kinda
hard to assess what they have from what case it's in for
sure. Like the guy who thought he had a IIe and said that
his 80 column card would not fit in the slot. He had the
IIgs upgrade but the wrong lid. No wonder.

: Reminds me that when I had a stack of ugly school
: machines a girl friend got on my case about them
: so I was agreeable and said I'd get rid of some.
: Just because I kept the keyboards, motherboards,
: power supplies and cards she failed to apreciate
: my sacrifice. Sometimes there's no pleasing some
: people.

I must agree with you, as I have many spare parts
along with many complete machines, some of which
will be getting sold as soon as I get reorganized.
