: Could be a couple of things. Can you boot into DOS and save
: a small basic program?
I can tell you right away the slot has to be 6, or
go into the dump file with a text editor and rewrite
the BSAVE line at the end of the file. It does specify
which slot and drive to BSAVE the data to. Also, it will
BSAVE to a 3.5" drive in Slot 6.
: [snip]
: You should make sure you have a good working INIT'ed
: diskette in the drive you are trying to save it to.
Absolutely, the disk should be init'd first. If you were
dumping DOS 3.3, then you couldn't have an init'd disk
but once dumped and before anything else, you would init
a disk, and that is how you get a DOS over to a machine
that has none. I started that way 2 years ago.
: Sounds like you have a batch of bad disks or a bad drive.
: Ask around people like Bill Garber sell new disks. I've
: bought them from him and they work great.
Hurry, I still have some left. 8o) If these sell, I might
get more. LOL

No, you should be set at xxxx,8,N,1. You should be able
to go as high as 9600 with the proper delays set.
: It's not. It's a disk issue. Best to send the data
: at 300-N-8-1 but I've done it at 9600 just to see
: if it can be done but you have to put delays between
: characters so what's the point.
It definitely can be done at 9600.
: Try the Disk II out in slot 6 and get back to us.
Absolutely should be in slot 6, otherwise you would
need to change the dump file's BSAVE line.
