Hello all!
I would know what is the difference between the books "Understanding
Apple II" and the "Understanding Apple IIe" by Jim Sather.
Contains the second all the informations of the first book adding
something, or they are different is some parts?
Thanks
The first book is really a template for the second and some parts
are unchanged but the second book doesn't contain everything the
first does because anything that wasn't relavent to a IIe was
dropped. Also information that the author didn't think likely to be
used by a IIe owner was dropped. Areas like the parts on keyboards
are completely changed. Some parts where you wouldn't expect any
change like the chapter on Floppy disk controllers is rewritten and
three pages longer. I'd guess that the second book is about a
hundred pages or so larger. If you have a II or II+ the first book
would be the best choice but having both would be better.
Anyone know where Jim Sather is these days?
