Then you haven't seen Apple Oasis, an Apple II emulator which is
shareware (i.e. the author want some money from you if you decide to
continue using it past the trial period). Apple Oasis is the only
Apple II emulator which also properly emulates a Z80 card, enabling
you to run Apple CP/M on it.

Probably true, but at least one person is making some money from
it -- but most likely too little to get "rich" from it.
So it's all a matter of not making too much money from a recreated
Apple II ? That's probably no problem -- few people will be
interested in bying one anyway, should one ever become available.
