Ah-ha!
So, I'm guessing that there was the 1983 Echo II,
followed by the 1986/7 Echo IIb, followed by the
1990 "Echo II". They apparently decided to simplify
and recycle the name.
(The II+ is in there somewhere, too, but was a
distinct, more expensive, product.)
