Very interesting. I've recently encountered my first card that relies
on the RDY line for synchronization, so I'm quite curious about the
details on this (now diving into manuals...).

I have a Taurus 8-inch diskette controller which uses RDY to synchronize double-density data rates with the 6502 CPU. Which card are you looking at?

The uSPEED floating-point accelerator card.

Since I have a Zip Chip in my //e, the RDY line on my machine
is already non-functional, which is what led me to reverse-engineer
the card.

For testing, I am able to simply access it _slowly_, but that isn't
practical for actually using it. ;-)

Well, Michael, I can help you out! Just send me the Zip chip and I'll give you a 65c02! Sounds fair to me! ;-)
