Many older Apple II programs are copy-protected, and cannot be
copied without using specialized programs. Ironically, Locksmith
is one of those programs that specialized in copying otherwise
"uncopyable" disks.
Check the csa2 FAQs for pointers to more information on copy
protection--or just Google "apple II" "copy protection".
There is a rich and fabulous body of information on Apple II-series
disk copy protection. Many found that analyzing (and defeating)
copy protection schemes was one of the more interesting things
they could do with their Apple II computers. ;-)
