I just bought a //e off eBay, pretty nice condition but the motherboard
and insides are dusty. Before I screw things up royally, can you please
give me some advice on the PROPER way to clean it up? Also, any tips for
for cleaning and generally improving the appearance of the plastic case?
If anyone remembers the UK series The Young Ones (and your presence here
in this newsgroup does suggest a taste for bizarre creations of the
'80s), there was an episode where they got a VCR. I am reminded of this
wonderful dialog...
Rick (angrily): Vivian, WHY did you fill our video with dishwashing
detergent?
Vivian: I was just following the instructions! See here, it says "Make
sure the video is clean and free of dust"
Rick: Yes but it doesn't say "Make sure it is full of dishwashing liquid"
Vivian (smugly): Well it also doesn't say "Make sure the video is NOT
full of dishwashing liquid"!
