It's too bad that there isn't a slightly more elegant way to do this. would the Apple II ethernet card have hypothetically allowed me to network the IIgs directly with an OS X machine?

I was using an LC III with good results, currently I have moved it up to a 7600 running system 8.1. Localtalk bridge will not run on 8.6 or up, and is rumored to be unreliable on 8.5. I never ran 8.5, so I couldn't say myself.I ran it on either 9.1 or 9.2.2 (can't remember if I was running it off of the 7500 with 9.1 or the G3 with 9.2.2) a while back. It worked just fine. I had to get the GS/OS disk images onto a my Duo 2300 which has a floppy drive that writes ProDOS disks just fine. Was making a set of system disks for someone so he could play with his GS.I think it was probably long enough ago that it was the 7500 with 9.1, but the computer look so much alike that I can't remember. And it was before I found out about the program (can't remember the name offhand) that could write ProDOS disks on the PowerMac floppy drives.Greg B.
