Hmm.. "Apple.NET : The Apple ][ Internet BBS" .... (updated)

Hey everyone!

I've updated the Apple.NET telnet/internet BBS I've been working on.
Still not complete, but a bit more functionality for sure!

  - Completed the System News area
  - Basic Message Base area is implemented and working
  - Multi-user chat system is in BETA

To connect to the BBS:
telnet://apple2.no-ip.org

It was running for just over 19 days straight (no software restarts or
anything) before I started doing some mass updates to it this week.

I looked around at a lot of chat systems and they all worked pretty
lame. For example, telnet://chat.chatnfiles.com:5050 uses a program
called PhiNET. It works, but you can't see your typing unless you
turn on local echo, and even then it gets clobbered by any messages.
The chat system I've implemented uses a built-in split-screen
interface. I'm curious to know if anyone has major display problems
with it. It should be ANSI/VT-100 compliant, so set your terminal
emulation to that (it usually is by default on most telnet clients.)

When you first connect, I do a little telnet option query to determine
your telnet window size.. but it doesn't use it yet.. but I am looking
into updating the chat system so that you can have LARGE chat windows
and not confined to 80x24.

Thanks to all who checked it out before, about a month ago. All
accounts are still valid and active. I think about 30 accounts were
created and only two hadn't validated yet. If you lost your password
but remember your login name or e-mail address that you used, you can
login with username LOST to have it emailed to you.

Any requests or changes? I'd be interested to hear!

Cheers!
