We can conclude that stupid thrift store managers that throw items away,
rather than adjusting the sales price for the local market, fail to achieve
the mission of serving the needs of poor people in their communities.
Its better that the thrift store get the $10 and the person undertaking the
risk of selling on ebay get the rest of the reward, than to have the store
get nothing, the person who would sell the item on ebay get nothing, and the
person who wanted to buy the item get nothing. There's also the waste of
throwing away usable goods.
