Ran the Transwarp diagnostic last night - came up clean, so maybe
that's not it. Haven't found a Sirius diagnostic, though I'm sure
there's one out there somewhere.

Thanks - worked great.

Any documentation on how to do this without losing everything? I grew
up on a IIe, and then switched to the Pee-See instead of sticking with
Apple, so this is my first experience with a real IIgs. I've played
around with XGS/32 a little, but, as I'm learning first-hand, the real
thing is a totally different experience than an emulator.

I found a copy of the NEC drivers in a folder containing Sirius
utilities on the FocusDrive - these are the drivers I currently have
installed.

See my responses to Jeff and Bill about the various configs I've tried
(don't want to waste bandwidth listing them a third time). By "first
device", so you mean the Apple HS SCSI card itself? I thought it
provided it's own termination at that end. Device ID's: Zip 5, NEC 3.
