Re: ADT with a Laser 128



Hi Matt, glad to hear the cable is working. 
AFAIK, ADT works from the Apple (Laser) end 
totally and will only transfer entire disks 
to image file on the PC. Having only used 
ADT twice over a year ago I'm flying by the 
seat of my pants here, but Here goes. First, 
you must have run the PC side of ADT from the 
directory where you have the images and want 
them to go into when you come from the Laser. 
Second is baud rate, this must match, and 
third, that cable has no handshaking ability. 
Handshaking by software should work, but not 
hardware. ADT.SS should ne the one to use for 
your application although I'm not sure of the 
Laser's compatibility with the Super Serial 
Card. Not much more I can tell you without 
a bit more explanation of what you've done. 
I don't have a cable right now so I can't hook 
up and test it. Let me know if any of this helps.
