: Copy II+ is probably the easiest way to go about
it, though if your
: drive is too far out to boot from, you will need
to have a good drive
: attached (obviously)... I believe Yoyo Duck has
a similar utility.

flight of stairs onto

(This happened to
: my first IIe before I even got a chance to plug
it in -- good thing
: it was only $5)..interestingly, only the drive
that took the
: main impact was affected and, after fixing the
speed, has been
: running without incident for about 18 months.
I'm thinking
: about running my imagewriter through a similar
test ;-)

I did not know that, nor would I have admitted
it if I did. ;-) I usually set up a disk drive
prior
to doing anything serious with it, and most times
there is no other adjustment necessary. I have not
had to reset any drives that I've done. Only thing
is I have a //c 5.25 drive that has a problem
finding
proper speed. It jumps from 0-350 MS and back and
everywhere in between. Any idea what it needs? I
have
not tried the mechanism with another analog card.
That's next.
